A little later than planned, here is our round up of the local election results from Reigate & Banstead.
As you may have heard, Jonathan Essex achieved an emphatic victory in Redhill East, gaining nearly 50% of the vote. Congratulations to Jonathan, who becomes the first ever Green Party councillor on Surrey County Council. Jonathan says, “Thanks to everyone who voted for me and I am looking forward to representing people on the County as well as the Borough Council.”
Greens also performed well in the other Redhill division, Redhill West & Meadvale, where Sarah Finch put up a very strong challenge and achieved a good second place.
These results and the results for the other Reigate & Banstead divisions in which we stood a candidate are listed below.
