Non-members welcome at Green Party Conference next weekend

The Green Party national conference is taking place next weekend.

This year it’s in Brighton, at the Metropole Hotel, 20 minutes’ walk (or a breezy five-minute downhill bike ride) from the station.

A number of sessions are open to non-members at no charge.

Open sessions include panel debates and fringes on:

  • Free Schools and Academies – what is their real effect on academic standards and social mobility?
  • The Future of our Railways
  • Women and Austerity
  • What next for the lesbian, gay, bi and trans equality struggle after same-sex marriage?

There will also be free screenings of the films Secret City (about the City of London, the Corporation that runs it, and its role in the economic crisis) and Drill Baby Drill (which tells an inspirational story of people in Poland and Pennsylvania standing up to the multinational companies who want to frack in their communities).

Non-members are also welcome to visit the exhibitions and stalls.

If you’re curious about the Green Party, and would like to know more about our broad range of policies, come along. You’ll see the most democratic and progressive party in the UK in action!
