A 44.9% share of the vote. Objectively speaking, that’s a mind blowingly large majority, especially when considered in broader Borough context. How the other councillors must truly despise you. All their years of experience, all that backing of a mainstream party organisation, incomparably higher electoral support nationally – they still couldn’t beat you. That’s what I call democracy. That’s what i call political organisation and enthusiasm by the candidate to win. That number 44.9% negates much need for further discussion.
