Would you like to stand for election in 2018?

Local elections will take place in May 2018 and we are selecting candidates to stand across Reigate and Banstead and Tandridge.

Would you like to stand?

We will be campaigning hard to win in two or three wards where we have the best chance of winning.

In the other wards we are standing ‘paper candidates’ only. If you are selected to stand in one of these, you are not expected to campaign – we need to devote all our energy in the areas we are targeting to win or develop.

Note that to stand in a local election, you must live, work or own land somewhere in the local authority area.

If you would like to stand as a candidate please complete this form. We will then contact you to discuss the next steps. If you want to stand in a target seat will need to fill in a short form.

The deadline for putting your name forward to stand in a target ward is 1 December 2017 and we will be selecting target candidates at our meeting on 5 December 2017. If you want to stand in one of our target seats, you’ll either need to attend the meeting to take part in a hustings, or send us a statement in advance of the meeting so that members attending can consider you.

Other candidates will be selected at members’ meetings between now and next spring.
