As a proud resident of Banstead for most of my life I am pleased to stand for you in this election for our village. I volunteer with Banstead Common Conservators, the WoodChips Conservation Volunteers. Banstead is lucky and being located next to the green belt and just outside London we enjoy the best of both urban and rural worlds. We should therefore strive to find better ways to live and be a beacon not only for the Reigate and Banstead area, but to communities across the nation, and even beyond.
I believe in finding the best solutions, for society at all levels, to answer the problems we face as individuals, as families, neighbourhoods, communities a nation and even as humanity as a whole. I believe in a way of living that can not only help resolve the issues of climate change, habitat loss and increase in waste and chemical pollution, but increase our quality of lives. As residents of Banstead we can be part of the solution rather than the problem.
