Surrey County Council’s ruling Conservative cabinet proposes to postpone the county elections which are due after four years without a public vote in order to plan for local government reorganisation. This denies the democratic opportunity for Surrey residents to vote anew for their representatives and to provide input to reorganisaton proposals.
