Residents petition rejected by Tory led RBBC

Councillor Jonathan Essex petitioning for public toilets to be reopened in Memorial Park, Redhill

Cllrs Essex and Ritter spoke in support of a residents’ petition for public toilets to be provided in council owned parks in the Borough, including Memorial Park in Redhill.

The Conservatives who lead the council said “No”. Jonathan says, “It is unacceptable for Reigate’s park to get new toilets but not Redhill.

The Council should at least run the café itself to keep the toilets open rather than leaving it closed for over a year, as challenged by us, the Guides and this petition”.
